Meet our Attorneys
John Ferris Dow
John Ferris Dow, founder of the practice, has been a licensed attorney since 1986. John grew up in West Roxbury and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and New England School of Law. He also has his Real Estate License in the State of Massachusetts.
John was a former Procedure Clerk at the Massachusetts Land Court, where he reviewed titles, pleadings, and notice requirements that were presented to the Land Court Judges. Prior to his admission to the Massachusetts Bar, he worked in the landscaping, iron fabricating, and construction industries. These varied life experiences have greatly enhanced his ability to understand legal problems that relate to other industries such as sales, labor, and construction. John focuses his practice on real estate litigation, civil litigation, business formation, and criminal law.
John resides in Concord with his wife Miranda, their triplets, Helen,Harrison and Emil, and their dog Sadie.

Timothy F. Fallon
Tim joined The Law Offices of John Ferris Dow in June of 2010. Prior to joining The Law Offices of John Ferris Dow, Tim worked as an Associate Attorney with Gosselin & Associates, a Winchester law firm, where he focused on Elder Care law and Estate Planning.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys reading, fishing, biking, and spending time with his wife and family on Cape Cod.

Leslie S. Gildart (Of Counsel)
Leslie is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. As a student, she practiced civil litigation defense and family and child welfare law under student practice rules. After law school, Leslie continued her pro bono work at West Publishing Company, where she was a Senior Editor and Family Law Classifier. Leslie resides in Somerville with her husband and son.

Meet our Paralegals
Ashley Alperin
Ashley Alperin grew up in Newton, MA and joined the firm in 2009. She was previously employed at Kirzner & Fuchs where she accumulated over 7 years of experience as a real estate paralegal. She is responsible for efficiently running the entire real estate department, and acts as the office liaison for our real estate clients. She specializes in the negotiation of Purchase and Sale Agreements.
Ashley enjoys theatre, travelling and interior design and interior decorating.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, and currently lives in Brookline with her two adorable adopted cats.
Ellen Paras
Ellen Paras has been with the Law Office for over 15 years and supports the entire staff in all practice areas. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science, as well as a paralegal certificate from Northeastern University.
Ellen currently lives in Arlington with her husband and two children.
